PM Abiy Ahmed launches PanAfriCon AI2022 exhibition in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 4, 2022 (FBC) – The FDRE Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, officially launched the 2022 PanAfriCon Artificial Intelligence workshop and exhibition at the Ethiopian Museum of Arts and Science, in Addis Ababa.

PanAfriConAI2022 exhibition and workshop marks its first ever event with the theme of “Empowering Africa through AI.”

PM Abiy Ahmed launched the technology startups and public/private institution exhibition that will be on display and open to the public for the next several weeks.

In addition to PM Abiy, other senior government officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Demeke Mekonnen, Ministers, CEO of Ethio Telecom, Mayor of Addis Ababa, officials of AI, researchers, and policy makers among others attended the opening ceremony.

Around 2000 attendees are reportedly attending the PanAfriConAI2022 workshop from across Africa and other parts of the world.
