Ethiopia to host mining and technology expo in coming November
Addis Ababa, October 3, 2022 (FBC) – Ministry of Mines announced preparations to host the first-ever Mining and Technology Expo in Addis Ababa from November 10-12, 2022.
According to the Ministry, investors in the mining and technology sector, financial institutions and companies engaged in buying and vending minerals will be participating in the Expo.
The expo will have a paramount significance in building a business network among companies in the mining sector. Mining and Technology industry giants have reserved their space for the Expo, the Ministry indicated.
Ministry of Mines and Ethiopian Airlines agreed to work in cooperation on the upcoming international mining and technology expo to be held in Addis Ababa, in November, stated Takele Uma Banti, Minister of Mines, Ethiopia.
Takele Uma confirmed he held a discussion with Girma Waqe, Chairperson of Board of Directors of Ethiopian Airlines, and Mesfin Tasew, CEO of the Airline, on cooperation with the airline in the mining sector. The Minister stated via twitter that mining industry demands collective and concerted efforts.
Takele stressed that international institutions such as Ethiopian Airlines are the pivotal stakeholders for the development of the mining sector.
He added that the Ministry and the Airline have agreed to work together on the international mining and technology expo to be held in November.
