MoWE launches $210mln underground water project

Addis Ababa, September 22, 2022 (FBC) – Ministry of Water and Energy – Ethiopia (MoWE) officially launches a $210 million underground water project, in attendance of stakeholders, at Skylight Hotel, Addis Ababa.

The Ministry confirmed that the project is mainly backed by World Bank.

Habtamu Itefa, Water and Energy Minister confirmed via twitter that the project mainly focuses on addressing 55 woredas selected from lowland areas that are prone to drought.
