9th International Policy Conference on Climate Change Impacts held in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, September 06, 2022 (FBC) – The Ninth International Policy Conference on the African Child, on the issue of climate change, and child rights in Africa impact and accountability held at the ECA Hall in Addis Ababa.
The conference aims to highlight the urgent need for financial investment and economic policies to prevent and respond to the effects of climate change on African continent.
Ministers from different African countries, high level United Nations (UN) and African Union (AU) officials, child rights experts and civil society organizations are participating in the conference.
In the conference, Ergogie Tesfaye (PhD), Minister of the FDRE Ministry of Women and Social Affairs, delivered an opening remark.
She said that the rights of African children on accessing protection, health and education are being violated by the impact of climate change.
