Ethiopian Navy confirms reinforcement, renovation training to continue
Addis Ababa, August 24, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Navy confirmed that the training being provided abroad and within the country will continue in a way to strengthen and modernize the country’s naval force.
Since its establishment, the Ethiopian Navy has been offering to its members various capacity-building training abroad and within the country.
Rear Admiral Kundu Ghele, the Commander in Chief of the Ethiopian Navy, visited the Marine Commando Training Center at Blatte Commando and Airforce Training Center.
The Commander in Chief said that the Marine Commando trainees should complete the training provided by the training center with discipline, morale and efficiency; because the training being provided is with other departments, it will create an opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge.
He added that the Marine Commando trainees who are undergoing training should prepare themselves to play their part in the work we are doing to modernize the Navy, as they are potential candidates for the next training.
Col. Boja Aga, Commander of Commando and Airborne Forces Training Center, on the other hand, said that Navy Marine Commando trainees are role models in any discipline or activity; as he also saluted and thanked the trainers at the Commando and Airborne Forces Training Center.
