Tankers carrying 600,000 liters of fuel arrive in Tigray: UN

Addis Ababa, August 9, 2022 (FBC) – United Nations stated that 12 tankers carrying 600,000 liters of fuel arrived in Tigray last week. About  two million liters of fuel are needed each month to sustain humanitarian operations, it is indicated.

In another development, humanitarian food assistance is being distributed in three districts of Amhara’s Wag Hamra zone for the first time in over one year, with food for about 30,000 people. 

The UN also announced a plan to deliver additional assistance including nutrition and health supplies to people in need.
