South Sudan First Vice President Riek Machar appreciates positive developments in Ethiopia

The Ethiopian ambassador in South Sudan, Ambassador Nebil Mahdi, discussed with Riek Machar (PhD), First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, on issues of mutual and regional concern.

During the meeting, Ambassador Nebil briefed the First Vice President about the progress in Ethiopia, among others, the government’s bold effort in creating a suitable environment for dialogue and peace as well as humanitarian aid delivery.

Furthermore, the ambassador appreciated the recent draft roadmap, which is believed to be an important instrument for the full implementation of the outstanding tasks of the Peace Agreement. 

He also expressed Ethiopia’s unwavering commitment to the Agreement’s full implementation.

The First Vice President, for his part, appreciated the positive development in Ethiopia and briefed the ambassador about the current developments in South Sudan.
