Ethiopia appoints negotiating team to resolve conflict in the north peacefully
Addis Ababa, June 27, 2022 (FBC) – The federal government of Ethiopia has appointed a negotiating team to resolve the conflict in the north peacefully.
Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Demeke Mekonnen has been appointed as chairperson of the negotiating team while Gedion Timotheos, Temesgen Tiruneh, Ambassador Hassen Abdulkadir, Ambassador Redwan Hussien, Lt.-Gen Birhanu Bekele and Getachew Jenber included as members.
Member of the Central Committee of the ruling Prosperity Party, Gedion Timothewos has stated so far that the Central Committee of the Prosperity Party and the Executive Committee of the party have set a direction to resolve the conflict in the North peacefully.
