DPM, FM Demeke expresses condolences to victims of terrorist group attacks on civilians

Addis Ababa, Jone 20, 2022 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen expressed condolences to the victims of the terrorist and extremist group attacks on civilians in various parts of Ethiopia. 

He said the group, realizing that it is losing ground due to measures taken against it, has resorted to attacking innocent citizens. The group’s recent terrorist attack in the Gambella region has failed and it has launched new attacks in Western Wellega, Gimbi, slaughtering civilians including, women and children, he said. 

According to the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the law enforcement operations against the group will be strengthened, perpetrators will be brought to justice, and families of the victims will be rehabilitated.
