France unveils a €1.5mln project to restore conflict-ravaged health facilities in Amhara Region
Addis Ababa, June 13, 2022 (FBC) – France has announced a 1.5 million Euro project tailored for restoration of conflict-ravaged health facilities in Amhara Region.
The Health Minister Dr. Lia Tadesse and French Ambassador in Ethiopia Rémi Maréchaux have signed the project agreement. It is stated on the signing ceremony that the financial assistance will mainly be used to support restoration works in Dessie Referral Hospital in the region.
Project implementation will also consider other health facilities in Amhara Region damaged by the conflict.
Dr. Lia extended gratitude to the government of France for supporting Ethiopia’s efforts to curtail the Coronavirus pandemic and other efforts in the health sector.
