Ethiopian Permanent Rep. to UN discusses with UN Special Envoy for HoA on current issues

Addis Ababa, May 4, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the United Nations, Taye Atskeselassie has discussed with UN Under Secretary General and Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Hanna Tetteh on a wide range of issues including latest developments in Ethiopia.

The two exchanged views on issues including political developments in the Horn of Africa, African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), humanitarian truce in Ethiopia and cross-border security challenges.

In related story, Ambassador Taye appreciated UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell for visiting drought-impacted Somali region in Ethiopia, and called for an immediate scaled-up response to save the lives of millions of children in the region.
