Ethiopia reaffirms commitment to cementing ties with South Sudan
Addis Ababa, April 10, 2022 (FBC) – The Finance Minister Ahmed Shide yesterday received at his office a South Sudanse high delegation led by Agak Achul, country’s Minister for Finance and Planning. Ahmed Shide and the delegation mulled over establishing Ethiopia-South Sudan Joint Ministerial Committee.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in financial and technical spheres at regional and international level under the framework of COMESA and IGAD.
On the occasion, Ahmed noted that the people to people ties between Ethiopia and South Sudan is built on solid foundation, reaffirming Ethiopia’s commitment to further cement this bilateral relations with multifaceted areas of cooperation.
He further reaffirmed the commitment of Ethiopia to contribute its part to bring unity and sustainable peace in South Sudan.
South Sudanese Minister for Finance and Planning Agak Achul, for his part, appreciated Ethiopia’s support to his country in economic, peace and security sectors.
