Diaspora briefed on atrocities committed by terrorist TPLF in Afar Region

Addis Ababa, January 3, 2022 (FBC) – Members of the Diaspora who are visiting Afar region have been briefed on the atrocities committed by the terrorist TPLF Group in Galikoma, Uwa and Berahile areas in the region.

Survivors explained to the Diaspora members about the mass killings and destruction of properties the terrorist Group committed in the region while it invaded the area.

TPLF killed innocent civilians with heavy artillery attacks, destroyed religious institutions and burned down Holy Quran and other religious scriptures and caused complicated psychological disorder in women, children and elderly people in the three affected areas, the Diaspora learned from the survivors.

The terrorist Group also destroyed social service infrastructures including health care facilities, educational institutions and water and irrigation schemes, it is indicated on the briefing session.

The briefing is said to be part of a national forum under the theme “Diaspora and Nation Building”.
