Addis Ababa to get industrial village

Addis Ababa, February 4, 2020 (FBC) -State Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Aklilu Hailemichael received today a delegation of China Mining United Investment Group.

The State Minister exchanged views with the delegation led by Mr. Shicheng Zhang President Chairman of the Investment Group on investment opportunities in Ethiopia in line with the Group’s interest and Ethiopia’s investment priorities.

Dr.Aklilu reiterated the huge and mutually fruitful Chinese investments in Ethiopia and appreciated the Group’s interest to build a multi-purpose industrial village, among others.

He assured the Chinese investors of the government’s commitment to help them achieve their investment goals and thrive in their endeavors in Ethiopia.

Shicheng Zhang further elaborated the Group’s plan to build a multi-purpose industrial village in Addis Ababa.

According to Shicheng the industrial village, among others, will have electronics and software production centers, hotels and apartments which would be used for various purposes.

Shicheng expressed his hope that the Ethiopian government would provide all the necessary help the Investment Group needs to achieve its investment goals in Ethiopia.

Aside from building the industrial village, China United Investment Group has plans to make full use of wood raw materials in Ethiopia for furniture production, to invest for building industrial parks, cultural tourism incubators, furniture factory and board factory in Ethiopia.
