Educational community in Addis Ababa delivers over 51mln ETB support to IDPS in Afar

Addis Ababa, November 26,2021 (FBC) – Members of the Educational Community in Addis Ababa have delivered humanitarian assistance worth more than 51 Million Birr to displaced people in Afar Region.

The donation that include food and non-food items much needed by the IDPS have been collected from leaders of the education sector, teachers, students of borth public and private schools and parents in the capital.

Head of the Addis Ababa Education Bureau, Zetalem Mulatu handed over the donation to Chief Administrator of the Afar Regional State, Awol Arba.

On the occasion, The Bureau Head appreciated determination and gallantry manifested by the Afar people in the fight against the terrorist TPLF people which is the cause of the humanitarian crisis inthe country.

Afar chief Administrator Awol Arba, for his part, said the terrorist group was preparing for many years to dismantle Ethiopia, calling all Ethiopians to join the survival campaign thereby defend sovereignty of Ethiopia from the threat posed by the terrorist group and its internal and external allies.
