Western media are covering only negative aspects of Africa: Kenyan President

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2021 (FBC) – Addressing a dialogue platform named “Candid Africa”, the Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said that the western media are wreaking a perception problem over Africa each day.

Uhuru Kenttaya said that the western media are covering only the negative aspects of Africa. The president stated that he has stopped watching the western media including CNN, Sky New, BBC, among others for their mishandling of situation in the continent.

“They are talking about something that has happened in Rwanda, in South Sudan, in Ethiopia, in Somalia, and even as far away as Nigeria, on the other side of the continent. And then when the guy is signing off, this is John White reporting from Nairobi, Kenya.” He noted.

Everybody knows one thing that sticks in their mind Nairobi, Kenya is where Boko Haram thrives, you know? You know, his way is where there is a hunger and starvation is where there is I don’t know.

People have to know that the only thing Africans need is the African Unity, he underscored.

Each country is unique, and I believe Kenya is unique. And it should be known for its uniqueness, he added.
