Commission Asks USA for Ethiopia Continues Getting Access to AGOA
Addis Ababa, October 27, 2021 (FBC) – Investment Commission of Ethiopia asks the United States of America to abandon the thought of preventing Ethiopia from getting market access with African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
The request has come when the Ethiopian Investment Commissioner, Lelisie Nemie, talked with a Senior Commercial Officer at the US Embassy, Yasue Pai, in Addis Ababa.
The commissioner underscores that business people in Ethiopia have been highly benefiting from AGOA and has asked the United States Government to keep on permitting access to this market opportunity.
That is according to the information we have got from the commission.
It is to be recalled that the Biden Administration has been considering banning Ethiopia from AGOA in relation to the conflict here.
