SNNPS Starts Administering Polio Vaccines

Addis Ababa, October 22, 2021 (FBC) – The inoculation of Polio vaccines has started today in Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ State (SNNPS).

Giving of the vaccines will last until October 25, 2021 in the form of a campaign.

Over 3 million children below the age of five are expected to receive the vaccines.

Health Bureau of the Region has therefore called on parents in making their children ready for the vaccination.

Ethiopia’s State Minister of Health Dr. Dereje Duguma and other federal as well as state officials have witnessed the beginning of the vaccination on this opening day.

That is according to the regional State’s Communications Office.
