Ethiopia, Algeria Agree to Collaborate on Education, Research: Embassy
Addis Ababa, October 12, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Algeria have discussed to foster their ties in higher education training and research.
According to the Ethiopian ambassador to Algeria, Nebiyat Getachew, high-level officials at Education Ministries of the two nations have discussed online on the matter.
The two thus have agreed to engage collaboratively in higher education capacity building, joint research projects, and science and technology.
Higher Education Academic Affairs Director at the Ethiopian Education Ministry, Dr. Eba, has for his part said that the talk paves the way to further collaborate on improving education quality, by exchanging trainers and employing various capacity building tools.
Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has similarly expressed readiness to realize the agreed-upon areas of cooperation between the two sides.
Ambassador Nebiyat notes that collaboration among African higher-learning institutions enables to exchanging best practices, transferring technology, and promoting Pan-Africanism.
