Ethiopia presents Djibouti with 40,000 tree seedlings
Addis Ababa, October 11, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopia has provided Djibouti with 40,000 tree seedlings as part of its efforts to defuse the green legacy initiative into countries of the region.
It is to be recalled that the country has sent thousands of tree seedlings neighbouring Eritrea to the same purpose.
During the send-off ceremony, Mayor of Dire Dawa City, Kedir Juhar said the donation denotes the strong desire of Ethiopia to work hand in hand with Djibouti for shared prosperity.
Ethiopia is planned to provide Djibouti with 200,000 tree seedlings including it received today
Dire Dawa University and Government of Djibouti are working in partnership to mitigate climate change impacts in the region.
