Cluster Farming Starts Bearing Fruits: President
Addis Ababa, October 8, 2021 (FBC) – Oromia Regional State President Shimeles Abdisa says cluster farming is becoming a success in improving the productivity of small holder farmers.
His remarks come while paying a visit to “Tef” crop clusters in Ad’a District, where 193 smallholder farmers are participating in Tef Cluster farming over 102 hectares of land in Oromia.
The move thus will help take the overall agricultural productivity of Ethiopia one step forward, Shimeles adds.
Oromia State agricultural & Natural Resources Bureau Deputy Head, Getu Gemechu, has for his part said that small holder farmers are diversifying their crops to such as avocadoes and the like.
Tef produce has now started to double compared to earlier times, Getu has noted.
