PM Abiy Ahmed Says Conduct of Postponed Voting ‘Completes Our Democracy’

Addis Ababa, September 30, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that the conduct of the remaining postponed general elections today makes “our democracy complete.”

Dubbing the June general election “historic” for being free and fair, he congratulates Ethiopians for the successful completion of the postponed elections in South, Somali, and Harari regions.

He noted that the election has been a good exercise in cultivating democratic governance in the country, and expressed his gratefulness to election officials and other stakeholders who played significant role for the successful completion of the general election.
