Legendary singer Alemayehu Eshete laid to rest at St. Trinity Cathedral

Addis Ababa, September 7, 2021 (FBC) – The legendary Ethiopian singer Alemayehu Eshete has been laid to rest at St. Trinity Cathedral, Addis Ababa with a massive funeral ceremony attended by many.

Families and fans of the artist, government officials, religious leaders and thousands of Ethiopians from the capital and several places of the country have attended the funeral service at the historical cathedral.

Alemayehu who was also Known as the Ethiopian Elvis Presley contributed a lot to the transformation of the modern Ethiopian music industry through his unique performances.

“Temar Lije” or “My Son, You’d Better Learn” is one of his songs loved by many Ethiopians as inspirational work of music towards pursue of education.
