China donates 100,000 doses of vaccine to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, June 19, 2021 (FBC) – The government of China has donated 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Ethiopia in collaboration with the Red Cross Societies of the two countries.

It is learnt that among the stated amount of doses 40, 000 doses will be allocated to Tigray regional state.

On the hand over ceremony Ambassador of China to Ethiopia, Zhao Zhiyuan reiterated the commitment of his country to support Ethiopia in production of COVID-19 vaccine.

China has denoted a total of 500,000 doses of vaccines to Ethiopia through bilateral channel.
