Addis Ababa inaugurates a 75mln Birr free rehab center for indigent residents
Addis Ababa, June 2, 2021 (FBC) – Addis Ababa City Administration has today inaugurated a free rehabilitation center built with an outlay of 75 Million Birr for indigent people highly impacted by social problems.
High level government officials including Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abiebie have attended the inaugural ceremony.
On the occasion, the Deputy Mayor said the City Administration of Addis Ababa has been undertaking a wide range of pro-poor activities to reduce economic and social challenges faced by the residents.
The rehab center is said to receive people with disabilities, street dwellers and other vulnerable segments of the society and facilitate life skill and business trainings for the entrants. The facility with 32 rooms is said to have a capacity of accommodating 1,000 people at a time.
