Ethiopian Mass Media Authority prolongs election campaigning airtime by two weeks
Addis Ababa, May 29, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Mass Media Authority has today announced prolongment of election campaigning airtime allocated so far by two weeks amid postponement of the polls.
The Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) and the Mass Media Authority have today held a joint press briefing session to announce the airtime prolongment.
It is to be recalled that contending political parties have been alloted evenly distributed television and radio airtime and newspaper columns to conduct election campaigning and political advertising ahead of the upcoming 6th national elections.
According to the new timetable, contending parties are allowed to use time airtime from June 1-12 till four days remain ahead of the general elections date.
