MoWCY Minister stresses role of youths for successful implementation of AfCFTA

Addis Ababa, April 26, 2021 (FBC) – The Minister of Ministry of Women Children and Youth, Filsan Abdulahi Called upon governments to emphasize primary role of youth for successful implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The Minister delivered ministerial address at the All Africa High-Level Roundtable on the AfCFTA Youth Inclusion.

On the occasion, the minister called up on governmets to open their borders but also their hearts for an integrated Africa and emphasized the primary role of the youth for the successful implementation of the free trade area.

She encouraged African countries to open their boulder to enable free movement of goods and People across the continent.

“We need to ensure that youth are ready to make technology advancements and apply tech in their innovations and businesses. There is also need to also ensure that young women equally benefit from the program”, she stressed.
