Ethiopia, Oman explore ways to deepen bilateral ties

Addis Ababa, April 6, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Ayrorit Mohammed conferred with East African Department Head of Oman Ministry of Foreign Affairs on how to deepen ties between their respective countries.

Ambassador Ayrorit and the Oman Foreign Ministry African Department Head Mamdooh bin Salim bin Saeed Almarhoon exchanged view on the bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Sultanate of Oman.

Ambassador Ayrorit has briefed Mamdooh on the current national issues of Ethiopia including the government’s law enforcement operation in the Tigray region and the follow-up works of humanitarian support to those affected by the operation.

She also briefed the Head on the current status of the trilateral negotiations on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and other regional issues.

The two sides also discussed issues of bilateral relation between Ethiopia and the Sultanate of Oman and explored ways to deepen ties among the countries.
