COVID-19 may have infected one in three people in Ethiopia: Institute
Addis Ababa, March 25, 2021 (FBC) -One in three people in Ethiopia may have been infected by COVID-19, said the Ethiopian Public Health Institute.
The pandemic is spreading at an alarming rate, it said, adding out of the 100 samples taken yesterday, 26 of them have tested positive for the virus.
This, according to the institute, shows that one in three people may have been infected by the pandemic.
Ethiopia has so far reported 194, 524 cases, with 744 of them in a severe condition and 2, 741 deaths. Some 151, 172 patients have also recovered from the virus.
