Ethiopia working to create environments conducive to innovation
Addis Ababa, March 16, 2021 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s State Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr Ahmedin Mohammed, took part at the Canada-Africa clean growth symposium.
During the two-day virtual meeting, the State Minister briefed the participants about the on-going efforts to create environments conducive to innovation.
Ethiopia’s move to privatize the telecom sector, revision of trade and investment law and approval of the e-transaction law would create conducive atmosphere for the country to join the global economy, he told the participants.
The new start-up businesses law and establishment of job creation fund would make Ethiopia preferable for beginners in technology, Dr Ahmedin indicated.
The State Minister also responded to questions raised by participants.
