Council creates 1.7 Million new Jobs during last six months
Addis Ababa, February 11, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian National Job Creation Council announced that 1.7 Million new Jobs have been created for citizens in various sectors over the last six months.
In a meeting summoned by the council, Commissioner of the Job Creation Commission, Nigussu Tilahun said the job creation performance has shown 49pct increase compared to the same period of the last budget year.
Out of the total jobs created in the last half year, employments opportunities facilitated in the service sector account for 44pct while the industry and agriculture sectors constitute the remaining percentage, according to the commission.
The commission further underscored that it has been implementing various mechanisms to address bottlenecks in the job creation area and facilitate more employment for job seekers in the country.
