Ethiopian Ambassador pays courtesy call on Senegal President
Addis Ababa, February 11, 2021 (FBC) – The outgoing Ethiopian Ambassador in Dakar, Hassen Taju has paid a courtesy call on the President of Senegal, President Macky Sall.
On the occasion, the two sides underscored the need to scale up the relationship between the two countries.
Ambassador Hassen also took the opportunity to brief the President on the multifaceted reform the government of Ethiopia has been undertaking since the new political administration assumed power.
He explained how the TPLF junta had been masterminding violence to hijack the reform and the federal government’s measurement to remove it from the scene through the law enforcement operation carried out by the federal government.
Besides discussions on Ethiopia’s stance over the GERD and the border dispute with Sudan, Ambassador Hassen’s briefing also included the commitment of the government of Ethiopia to make the upcoming election fair, transparent and democratic.
The president thanked Ambassador Hassen for the briefing and expressed hope that the negotiation over the GERD and the border dispute would find amicable solutions.
