Ethiopia’s Security Service reaffirms commitment to strengthen cooperation with Mossad
Addis Ababa, February 2, 2021 (FBC) -Director General of Ethiopia’s National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS ) TemesgenTiruneh has held discussion with the outgoing Ambassador of Israel to Ethiopia, Raphael Morav.
They discussed on issues that help to further strengthen the ongoing cooperation and partnership between the Security Service and Mossad, according to a statement NISS sent to FBC today.
Temesgen reaffirmed his institution’s commitment to strengthen the cooperation framework with Mossad in areas of exchange of information, combating terrorism, capacity building and technology.
Ambassador Raphael Morav said during his tenure he had achieved his country’s ambition to work together in information and security sectors with Ethiopia, a country which has a decisive role for the prevalence of peace and security in the Horn of Africa.
Ethiopia’s NISS and the Israeli National Intelligence Agency (Mossad) recently agreed to cooperate in areas of peace and security as well as jointly fighting terrorism.
