Many attackers neutralized in Metekel zone in law enforcement measures

Addis Ababa, January 15, 2021 (FBC) – The Federal Integrated Taskforce announced that large number attackers who killed civilians in Metekel Zone, Benshangul Gumuz Region have been destroyed in law enforcement measures carried out by government security forces.

The taskforce stated that it has imposed curfew in all woredas of Metekel Zone.

Member of the Integrated Taskforce, Brig.-Gen Alemayehu Wolde said large number culprits have been killed while others surrendered to security forces.

According to Brig.-Gen Alemayehu, two days ago 74 civilians were killed in an attack orchestrated by agents of OLF-Shene and TPLF Clique in the region.
