Sudan affirms solidarity with Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, November 11, 2020 (FBC) –Gedu Andargachew, Ethiopia’s National Security Advisor Minister to the Prime Minister, met with Abdalla Hamdok, Sudanese Prime Minister.
Gedu travelled to Khartoum yesterday to deliver a message from the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to Sudanese officials on the latest development in Tigray regional state.
Prime Minister Hamdok on the occasion affirmed Sudan’s keenness on the security and stability of Ethiopia and also expressed his confidence in the ability of the Ethiopian Government to overcome the current challenges.
In a related development, Gedu also held talks with President of the Transitional Sovereign Council Lieutenant General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
Al-Burhan affirmed solidarity of the Sudanese government and people with the Ethiopian government and people in the face of the circumstances Ethiopia witnesses now.
Gedu for his part confirmed the importance of boosting Ethio-Sudanese Ethiopian relations further.
He also briefed the Sudanese officials on the situations in Tigray region, affirming capability of the Ethiopian Government to resolve the situations as soon as possible.
