Oromia, contractors sign agreement to build 7 boarding, 100 secondary schools

Addis Ababa, October 19, 2020 (FBC) – Oromia Regional State Education Bureau have signed construction agreements with various contractors to build 7 boarding, 40 special and 100 secondary schools at a cost of 4.9 Billion Birr.

During the signing ceremony, Head of Oromia Regional State Education Bureau, Dr. Tola Beriso said the construction of the schools will be held during the coming seven to eight months.

The schools to be built as per the agreement have crucial role in realizing quality education and building competent and knowledge based generation, Dr. Tola said on the occasion.

During the ceremony held in Adama city today, President of Oromia Regional State, Shimelis Abdissa handed over 210 computers that he gathered from various sources to the regional state’s education bureau.
