Ethiopia’s winning London Marathon athletes receive warm welcome

Addis Ababa, October 6, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s winning 40th London Marathon athletes were given a warm welcome home today.

Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, they were received by Derartu Tulu, first vice President of Ethiopian Athletics Federation (EAF).

Ethiopia’s Shura Kitata won the men’s 2020 London Marathon held last Sunday in 2:05:41.

Another Ethiopian, Sisay Lemma, was third.

Mousnet Geremew, Mule Wasihun and Tamirat Tola finished 4th, 5th and 6th, respectively.

Pre-race favourite, Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge, was eighth.
