Lidetu Ayalew charged with illegally possessing firearm

Addis Ababa, September 17, 2020 (FBC) –Prosecutors at east Shoa zone, Oromia regional state, have filed charges against Lidetu Ayalew.

He was charged with illegally possessing a firearm by contravening the country’s firearm administration and control proclamation No.1177/2020, article 22 (3).

Lidetu has been under police investigation on suspicion of funding and coordinating violence occurred following the killing of artist Hachalu Hundessa last June.
