PM, committee reviews “Dine for Ethiopia” undertaking
Addis Ababa, September 16, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has met with the “Dine for Ethiopia” national committee to review fundraising activities underway to finance three major national greenery and beatification projects.
The fundraising activities that will go towards the development of Koysha, Wonchi and Gorgora projects to be implemented in Southern Nations, Nationalities and Pepoles, Oromia and Amhara regions have been assessed by the meeting convened between the premier and the national committee.
Government employees at different levels have committed their monthly salary while the the Diaspora Community has started depositing in to Dine for Ethiopia Forex accounts to finance the projects, it is stated on the occasion.
Increased resource mobilization will continue towards meeting the 3 Billion Birr target set for successful completion of the three projects, according to the office of the Prime Minister.
The office stated that members of the business community have pledged support for the beautification projects that aim to widen tourist sites, restore natural resources and create public recreational options across the nation.
Some 15 enterprises and investors have purchased dinner coupons amounting 225 Million Birr on Tuesday in support of the “Dine for Nation” national projects.
