6th Int’l Integrated Agricultural Products Trade Fair Opens in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, May 16, 2024 (FBC) – The 6th international integrated agricultural products trade fair opened in Addis Ababa at the Millennium Hall today.

Some 123 Ethiopian and foreign companies are participating at the three day trade fair to showcase their agricultural products and services.

Industry State Minister, Hassen Mohammed said that the fair is organized with the objective to attract more investment in the sector and promote manufacturing products, as called by ENA.

The fair also plays pivotal role to encourage innovations, create market linkages, enhance technology transfer and experience sharing among the players, he added.

Tourism State Minister, Lensa Mekonen for her part stated that the trade fair is vital to invigorate the investment and tourism activities in Ethiopia.

Turkish Ambassador to Ethiopia, Berk Baran said these types of trade fairs are important instruments to strengthen trade and investment cooperation between countries.

The ambassador commended the ongoing efforts carried out in Ethiopia to bolster industrial and agricultural productivity with a view to ensuring food security.
