Ethiopia-Brazil Business Forum opens in Sao Paulo

Addis Ababa, May 13, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethiopia-Brazil Trade and Investment Forum organized by Wafa Marketing and Promotion in collaboration with various stakeholders is being held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The forum was organized by WAFA in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Brazilian Embassy in Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Embassy in Brazil.

The forum was attended by the Ethiopian Ambassador to Brazil, Tafa Tulu, the Minister of State for Trade and Regional Integration, Mr. Fiseha Yitagesu, the Head of Office of the Brazilian Minister of Trade, Industry and Services, Marcio Elias Rosa, and other officials.

More than 250 investors and companies from Ethiopia and Brazil are partaking in the event.

It has been pointed out that the forum will contribute greatly in making Ethiopia a major investment destination for Brazilian investors and companies.

It is said that it will be possible to take advantage of the vast opportunities in agriculture and agroprocessing, industry, mining, textiles and other investment sectors.

It was also pointed out that it would enable Ethiopian investors to establish ties with their Brazilian counterparts and make their country’s products widely available in the Brazilian market.
