South African Parliamentary delegation arrives in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, May 16, 2023 (FBC) – The African Parliamentary delegation has arrived in Addis Ababa to share experience with its Ethiopian counterpart.
Minister of State for the Government Whip the Parliament, Prof. Mihretu Shanko has received members of the South African delegation upon their arrival at Bole International Airport.
During the welcoming event, Prof. Mihretu stated that Ethiopia and South Africa have a longstanding historical relationship, adding that the visit will create a better opportunity for the two sides to share their experiences and enhance cooperation on mutual matters.
Head of the delegation and Government Whip of the South African Parliament, James Nksamalou, for his part, said that the exchange of experiences between house members of the two countries is aimed to enable them to properly serve the people they represent.
There are a wide range of activities the two sides will carry out in collaboration, he indicated, expressing his expectation that significant lessons will be garnered from their deliberations.
