Ethiopia, Djibouti ink MoU on utilization of Doraleh port

Addis Ababa, July 12, 2022 (FBC) –The Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Agriculture of Djibouti to operationalize the Doraleh multipurpose port.

“The port serves as resting terminal for export animals originating from Ethiopia,” Ethiopia’s Minister of Agriculture, Oumer Hussien, tweeted.

The agreement will pave the way for Ethiopia, as a leading country in livestock population, to effectively use its resources by exporting live animals through proper quarantine and inspection services.
