20th Edition Great Ethiopian Run takes place in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, January 10, 2021 (FBC) – The Great Ethiopian Run International 10Km race has taken place today in Addis Ababa involving hundreds of participants. The race has been held in adherence to all COVID 19 precautions, it is indicated.

In men’s race Abe Gashahun from Amhara Prisons Administration, Tadesse Worku from South Police and Milkessa Mengesha from Sebeta Club have finished the contest from 1st to 3rd respectively.

Tsige Gebreselama from Ethio Athletics, Medin Gebreselassie from Commerical Bank of Ethiopia and Gebeyanesh Ayalew, have completed the Women’s race from 1st to 3rd respectively.

Since 2002 the event has been the biggest road race in Africa and has been held without interruption for the past 19 years.
