Ethio-France Business Forum opens in Paris
Addis Ababa, October 21, 2019 (FBC) –The Ethio-France Business and Investment Forum opened in Paris, France today.
In his opening remark, Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen said Ethiopia is the origin of mankind, a country with diverse culture and an investment destination.
Ethiopia is implementing different reform programs for a sustainable growth and to bring a rapid inclusive growth, he added.
He said trade and investment are key areas to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
The government has attached a great attention to create favorable investment climate for foreign investors, he indicated.
Ahead of the forum, the Deputy Prime Minister also held talks with members of Africa’s committee of MEDEF International.
He provided a briefing to them on the reform programs introduced by Ethiopia to encourage investment in the country.
Members of Africa’s Committee commended the homegrown economic reform agenda launched by the Government of Ethiopia.
They also pledged to increase their investment in the Horn of African country.
