Ethiopia working to address challenges facing investors: Ministry
Addis Ababa, September 17, 2019 (FBC) –In addition to attracting investments, works are underway to address challenges facing investors in Ethiopia, said the Ministry of Trade and Industry at the Ethiopian and Dubai Diaspora Business Forum opened in Addis Ababa today.
State Minister of Trade and Industry, Ambassador Misganu Arega, said the forum is important to consolidate the bilateral relations between the two countries and attract more foreign direct investment (FDI) to Ethiopia.
Recalling the investment promotion and protection agreement signed recently between the two sides, the State Minister said Ethiopia is also working to boost its people-to-people and trade relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Ethiopia is keen to take lesson from UAE to increase the export of value added products, said Ambassador Misganu at the two-day conference.
The business communities from both sides are in attendance of the forum which is considered as important to create business networking and promote business opportunities in the country.
