Hirut holds talks with Addis-based ambassadors of IGAD Member States
Addis Ababa, August 20, 2019 (FBC) –State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Hirut Zemene, held talks with Addis Ababa-based ambassadors of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Member States at her office today.
The discussion is aimed at exchanging views ahead of the meeting of leadership of the Parties to the South Sudan Agreement scheduled to take place in Addis Ababa tomorrow, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Hirut urged the ambassadors to strengthen their role in the efforts being made to maintain peace and bring sustainable development in the Horn of African region.
The ambassadors for their part pledged that they will do all they can for the peace and stability of the region in general and South Sudan in particular.
Addis-based ambassadors of Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti, Kenya, and Uganda attended the meeting.
