East Africa Finance Ministers meet in Ethiopia to develop shared vision
Addis Ababa, June 7, 2019 (FBC) -Finance ministers and senior officials from the Horn of African countries met in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa today.
The meeting is aimed at developing a shared vision to advance economic integration in the region, according to the Ministry of Finance.
The initiative will focus on areas of transport, connectivity, trade, agriculture, and health that aim to support better coordination among the Horn countries.
Finance Ministers from Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, as well as Eritrean Ambassador to Ethiopia and Chief Treasury and Planning of Kenya attended the event.
Present at the meeting were also World Bank Country Director, EU Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development, Director General of African Development Bank for East Africa Region.
