Stakeholders urged to focus on mobilizing society to end hunger in Africa
Addis Ababa, May 23, 2019 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde has called upon all stakeholders to focus on mobilizing the society to end hunger in Africa.
She was speaking at the 8th International Policy Conference on the African Child held under a theme “Child Hunger in Africa” at the Economic Commission of Africa today.
She noted that Child Hunger has become the issue of the continent because of the various efforts made, according to office of the President.
“As the result of this, it was possible to advance the causes of the child, but still a long way to go,” she told the audience.
Identifying Child Hunger as a moral challenge and a political issue, the President underscored that the solution to curb the problem needs massive mobilization of the society at both levels.
