Premier calls for unity during Iftar dinner
Addis Ababa, May 23, 2019 (FBC) – Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed has called for unity during the togetherness and thanksgiving Iftar dinner held at the Millennium Hall yesterday.
“We look good when we come together and unite,” he told thousands of Muslims who gathered to attended the event.
The Prime Minister said the peace and unity of the Muslim community is important for all Ethiopians.
The Prime Minister also said the government would provide the necessary support for the establishment of an Islamic bank in Ethiopia.
He further pledged that the government would provide support for the construction of a mosque that attracts the attention of Muslims around the world in Addis Ababa.
The Prime Minister also urged the Muslim community to show love for others, strengthen their unity, and share with the have-nots during the month of Ramadan.
He further called on the Muslim communities to take active part in the planting of 4 billion tree seedlings scheduled to take place across the country after a month.
